Lithium Disilicate
What is it? Lithium disilicate is a high-strength glass-ceramic material with a dense crystalline structure that stops cracks from spreading, used primarily in restorative and cosmetic dentistry for crowns, veneers, bridges, and inlays. GC Initial LiSi Block is a fully crystallised lithium disilicate block that delivers optimal physical and aesthetic properties without firing.
Features And Benefits: Strong flexural strength, natural-looking colour and translucency, versatile shaping using heat-pressing techniques or CAD/CAM milling machines.
What is it? Hybrid ceramics are advanced dental restorative materials that combine an inorganic ceramic network with a polymer or resin matrix to deliver both the high strength and hardness of ceramics, and the flexibility and shock-absorption of polymers, used for inlays and onlays, posterior and anterior crowns, veneers and non-prep tabletops, and implant-supported restorations. The milling of GC's CERASMART270 is fast and efficient, making it possible to create restorations with precise, fine margins and an optimal fit in a very short time. When higher aesthetics are required, it can be glazed and characterised using GC's wear resistant coating OPTIGLAZE Color.
Features And Benefits: Tooth-like elasticity; fast processing with no post-firing, sintering, or crystallisation steps required; minimally invasive; easy to repair.
