Functionality

Functionality

Your dental practice can look beautiful, but if it isn’t functional, it doesn’t work. Is the space easy to move around in? Is there room for all the equipment you need, and anything you might want to incorporate in the near future? Do your dentists and nurses have room to work comfortably?

Sound

Sound

Materials that give a luxury finish – such as glass and quartz – may look beautiful, but they cause sound to bounce. Being able to hear too much sound from around the practice can be off putting for both patients and staff. Consider mixing in materials that absorb sound, such as carpets and ceiling baffles.

Durability

Durability

The foot traffic in a dental surgery is going to be much higher than that found in a home. So make sure you use commercial-grade materials in spaces that will experience highest traffic.

Style

Style

To look the best for patients, your dental surgery needs to feel holistic so make sure every aspect of your design lets patients know who you are and what you offer. Your style needs to align with your brand and it needs to feel cohesive throughout the building.

Dental Surgery Design: A Detailed View

When you choose to design your practice with Henry Schein, our equipment specialists are involved from the start, and will help you through every stage of your dental surgery design. Once your equipment order has been confirmed, and we have the puzzle pieces of your design, an ESS will visit the site and either do their own measurements or work with your architectural plans.

At this stage we offer suggestions and insights, calling on a wealth of experience designing dental surgeries to present layout options that allow for a seamless workflow for both the dentist and nurse, whilst keeping patients in mind.

Henry Schein’s cabinet suppliers manufacture bespoke, custom-made cabinetry, so your space can be optimised, and your style matched, in every corner of the room. The cabinetry comes with a high-quality finish and fast turnaround, making it perfect whether you are designing a surgery from the ground up, or refurbishing your existing space.

This is why, as an optional add-on to the full surgery package, Henry Schein offers an advanced 3D rendering of your surgery. Currently, Henry Schein is the only equipment distributor that can offer this service.

Using bespokeimaging software we can convert the 2D plans for your surgery into a detailed 3D rendering. From this rendering, you can see the products you have chosen, the colour scheme, and even the materials that units are made from.

Branding is vitally important for dental practices. And with 3D imaging you can build your surgery from the ground up visualising your branding throughout. You can design everything in your brand colours, see the energy of your space, try different options, and rearrange the space until you are completely satisfied.

By doing this, you can be certain of the end result before you even start.
