Sterile surgical sutures composed of a copolymer made from polyglycolic acid and polycaprolactone. Monofilament characteristics allow for less plaque retention. Extremely manageable and smooth. Minimal inflammatory reaction. Low memory. Good knotting. Suture absorption is completed in 90-110 days by hydrolysis, with no need to remove stitches. Suture retention is 68-78% of the initial tensile strength after the first week and about 30% after the end of the second week. Original tensile strength lasts up to 14 days and runs out after 28 days.
